The Big Homie Greg Street did it again with the biggest Sneaker Show in Atlanta History! Sneaker Friends 09 was crazy at 595 North. I can’t front last year it wasn’t that packed but this year it was crazy! Now I’m not the biggest sneaker head but I have to say the flyest of the flyest kicks were in the building last night. Seriously some of the sneakers I saw cost up to $8,000!!! Andre 3000 came out and showed his support along with other major sneaker heads! The man with the largest Nike Air Forces collection in the world was their…check out all the pics in the gallery…Click Here

Don’t “Fall Asleep” At A Tattoo Shop

June 19th 2009

stars1

So homegirl pictured above claims that she only asked to get 3 stars tattooed on the left side of her face by her eye and fell asleep during the procedure to wake up with 56! What the hell was she smoking cause clearly it was some crack, if she could not feel the man tatting the hell out of her face.

“When he started to tattoo me, I did not feel pain and I fell asleep. I awoke as he tattooed me on the nose and I saw what he had done. I counted 56 stars”.

Imma need her to get a grip on life and come up with a better lie. Who honestly falls asleep getting a tattoo? She needs to be aware that no one thinks getting a tat is like getting a massage, okay?…She’s just mad that she can’t pull it off like Danger from “For the Love of Ray J” Just saying….

I have to say that I loved the fact that people can come together to have a good time and celebrate DJ Trauma’s birthday. I got the chance to meet  Jeremih and asked him a few questions all he would say is, ” Yo tell Keri Hilson to get at me “. Other celebrities there included rapper Ludacris, British singer Estelle, Diamond ,Lil Scrappy, Jarvis, Eboni Elektra, JD, Bow Wow, Q The Kid, B Cox and many more.

The Real Reason R.Kelly Video Got Shut Down - They Trying To Stop Him From Seeing The Mother Land

June 18th 2009

R.Kelly

Everyone remembers the charges that R. Kelly faced when a video tape was released in February 2002 that allegedly showed an under-aged girl and him engaging in sexual activities. Everyone should also remember that on these charges he was also found NOT GUILTY. So with that being said, why is this man still facing problems because of it?!?! R. Kelly is supposed to making his first tour in Africa this month with his participation in the ARISE African Fashion Awards, but since he has been having problems getting a passport that trip, unfortunately, may not be happening for him. He was suppose to tape his new video with OJ the Juice Man “Superman High“, this week in Atlanta but had to cancel after finding out that his passport had been canceled.  Doing my own research, I found nothing saying you cannot get a passport for being found guilty of a crime, let alone being found not guilty in the case of R. Kelly. Can they leave the man alone and let him go visit our Motherland now, PLEASE?!

3 Men Stabbed At Club Last Night

June 18th 2009

Yesterday, at one of Atlanta’s hottest clubs, 3 men were stabbed.  I really can’t go into the details about the events that happened, but I will say that it was a nasty and horrific scene that had one dude’s face slashed halfway open and blood everywhere.  The altercation involved 2 different Rap/DJs organizations.  What started as a big fight ended up getting extremely dirty.  According to Channel 2 News “alot of celebrities were being rushed out of the building” and I am here to say that is completely  false.  The only people that were aware of the occurrences were the people that were upstairs that heard the gun shots.  And NO, Young Jeezy was not stabbed during the altercation.  He was just fine during it all and  left to check on friends who were injured. I just hate that this unfortunate incident happened.  People came out last night to have a good time and had to have their evenings ruined by some  hood mess that was not necessary!!!  Next time I’m going to need them to take all their ignorance to the house, studio or wherever  and let people party in peace. I know ATL is going to be crazy this weekend  and my advice to you is go where you need to go and not hang around these places when the concert/events are over. Take Yo A$$ Home….. FORREAL!

What’s really crazy is that people were alleging that Gucci Mane was involved when he wasn’t even in Atlanta.  Gucci Mane, Mario, and Sean Garrett were away on location shooting their new video and had absolutely nothing to do with what happened.

I hope everyone that was injured is safe and the “beef” can get squashed!

Are Diamond And Scrappy Engaged?

June 18th 2009

dsc_0815

Last night at Luckie Lounge, friends and fans alike gathered to help DJ Trauma celebrate 10 years of success at Hot 107.9. Even with all the stars in the building, I couldn’t help but notice the rock on the hands of Diamond and her man Lil’ Scrappy. I attempted to get some insight on a possible engagement of the two, but the only comments that were given to me were “wait and see”.   Both are putting the final touches on their albums, which are both suppose to be out this Fall. Maybe after the releases we can get a official statement on the matter. Guess I’ll have to “wait and see”…

PETA Stop Hatin’ On Obama

June 18th 2009

obama

First they have a problem on what type of dog he decides for his new home and now they have a problem with him swatting at a fly?  Recently, our president gave an interview with CNBC and a fly came annoyingly buzzing around him during it. Just like any other human being would do, he swatted at it and now PETA is up in arms about how he should have had a more “humane attitude” and use a fly catcher.  All I’m saying is a rep. from PETA needs to come down south for a family bbq in the middle of July and see if they won’t be swatting at a fly or two.

Here’s link to check it out.

The Shakur Foundation Big Birthday Bash For Tupac

June 17th 2009

dsc_00531Mike Epps hosted the 1st annual Tupac Birthday All-Star Benefit Concert at The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts in Atlanta to celebrate what would have been Tupac’s 38th birthday. No where else but the “A” could have honored the great Hip-Hop icon Tupac. Last night at The 1st annual Tupac Birthday All-Star Benefit Concert at The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts you definitely could feel the love thanks to Ms. Afeni Shakur and Mike Epps. The unique partnership was created by Epps, who despite juggling a national comedy tour, promotion of the new DVD “Funny Bidness” and two box-office films, “Next Day Air” and “Janky Promoters”, decided to augment his schedule by honoring the late rapper’s birthday with a fund-raising event to support The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts and an unforgettable birthday celebration.
“I’m a long-time fan of Pac’s music. It’s always been the soundtrack for overcoming struggle and when my life was in a desolate place it was his messages that helped bring me through,” says Epps. “I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for his inspiration. It’s an honor for me to stand alongside his mother, Afeni Shakur in celebrating such a personal moment in her son’s history.”

There were presentations from DeKalb CEO’s office - a proclamation for Mike Epps and a painting given by 13 year actor & rapper Lil’ Dude. Co-hosted by M1 of Dead Prez, the stage held the presence of: Lil’ Scrappy, Young LA, Playaz Circle, 8Ball & MJG, Mika Means & Bun B.
“This concert celebration is an expression of my gratitude for all of Tupac’s fans for continuing to support and love my son. Pac’s life was a gift from God, “says Afeni Shakur. “We continue to carry on Pac’s legacy via his art and foundation.”

Thanks to Dee Dee M. Cocheta & Crystal B. of A.B.C. Publicity for making sure I got the shots I needed.
